Wild Rose welcomes people of all sexual orientations into full membership, leadership, ministry, and rites of passage (weddings, baptisms, funerals). We are a proud member of the Affirming Ministries Program in the United Church of Canada, a "network of United Church congregations and ministries that declare themselves to be fully inclusive of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Before declaring themselves to be Affirming, local congregations, colleges, church courts, and other ministries study issues of sexual orientation and gender identity; make a statement of welcome; and commit themselves to work for justice and inclusion within their congregation, the wider church, and their community.” http://affirmunited.ause.ca/affirming-ministries-program/ In 2007, following the requisite program of self-study, Wild Rose voted to become an Affirming Congregation.
Our Statement of Faith clearly sets out our inclusive view of our ministry:

We, the people of Wild Rose United Church,
believe that in God’s community all people are welcome and respected.
Characteristics such as age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity,
differing abilities, ethnic background or economic circumstances should
not separate us.
We celebrate the gifts that diversity brings to our church.
We pray for God’s spirit to guide us through the challenges that come
With seeking justice for all. All have the opportunity to take part in
Aspects of our church life, Including membership, leadership,
Stewardship and The celebration of life passages.
